Captain Tsubasa is a passionate story of 11-year-old Tsubasa Ozora who started playing soccer at a very young age, and while it was mostly just a recreational sport for his friends, for him, it developed into something deeper (his thoughts and dreams revolve almost entirely around the joy of soccer). In order to pursue his dream to become the best soccer player, Tsubasa moves with his mother to Nankatsu city, well-known for its excellent elementary school soccer team. Since this is a more competitive town, he will need all of his skills and talents in order to stand out from this new crowd. He encounters not only rivals, but also new friends like the cheerleader Sanae Nakazawa, his gutsy friend Ryo Ishizaki, and S.G.G.K.[3]Genzo Wakabayashi, and Taro Misaki, an artist player who forms with him the Golden Combi, helping him push towards his dreams. Representing Japan in the FIFA World Cup is Tsubasa's ultimate dream, which will take a lot more than talent to reach it.
Seasons
Season 1 will be a retelling of the Kids' Dream Arc, combining both Original Manga and Modern-era elements.[4] Season 2, on the other hand, will have an "original story" where Japan National Team led by Tsubasa will be competing in the FIFA World Cup against the world's strongest opponents. Such opponents may include real pro soccer stars such as Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
